Expertise

CCI actively participates in the development of model codes and standards used throughout the United States. This includes membership on numerous National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committees, active participation in the International Code Council (ICC) code development process, and membership on the ICC Fire Code Committee. CCI was equally active in code making organizations preceding the ICC that developed the BOCA National Building Code, the ICBO Uniform Building Code, and the SBCCI Southern Standard Building Code.

Our extensive experience in both developing codes and standards and applying them to thousands of projects allows us to be experts in the requirements, including the history and intent. CCI maintains an extensive library of contemporary and legacy construction codes and standards, allowing CCI to research the exact requirements applicable at the time of construction.
